[Reference] Enya, the mountain elf - branch

Enya is a slow burn kind of story and the most romantic kind. I envision it going into few directions:

  1. Meets a forest warden & amateur blacksmith and becomes his companion and eventually a wife.
  2. Meets an amateur photographer and becomes a cosplay star and/or a world-class magician
  3. Befriends several people from surrounding villages and slowly gathers a reverse-harem :)

Area Reference

The area where our dear elf lands is modelled after Bieszczady Mountains and the city itself after Royal Free City of Sanok that I had a pleasure of visiting few times in my life while heading to Bieszczady.

Bieszczady region is one of the few truly wild regions left in Europe and it's sometimes associated in legends with a local variety of the demon/imp archetype named Bies which was a trickster demon that could occasionally posses people, making them aggressive and abrasive (although most likely they were just y'know - drunk - not possessed) and czady a lesser spirit demons who served him and would play small tricks on humans (scare children, cause supplies to rot, etc.)

Bieszczady became a famous "escape" area of Poland during the Soviet occupation. Many people searched by milicja would settle somewhere in the mountains, and the highlanders had a general attitude of don't-ask-don't-tell, making it an ideal place for an outsider to find peace.

Royal Free City of Sanok was at some point one of the 5 most important cities in Poland, but over the years lost the prestige and importance. It boasted an impressive castle that used to be a summer residence of Polish Kings (and hosted few royal weddings). Built on the cliff of a hill and was surrounded by natural moat formed by the San river and one of it's streams. I have been told that the castle was never conquered before the advent of the modern warfare - the last defence was during the Napoleonic wars.

Since the world of Utaria is in a period of time roughly comparable to a Renaissance (15-17th century), the current size of the city could be comparable with smaller capitals at that time. Eg. during that time period London had between 100 to 200 thousand citizens and was one of the bigger cities on the continent.
